so, I was at this gas station in Wilmington NC, and noticed this car that looked like the one I saw in the previews for Melissa McCarthy's new movie, Tammy.
Here's the car

It looks like someone watched the worst Tyler Perry movie out there and said "Hey, we need to do a white version of this!"

Well, seeing as how that film was shot in Wilmington, there's a very good chance that this was the very car used in the film. Also, you took that picture at Ted's Exxon on the corner of Market and Wrightsville, across the street from the Go Gas.

Actually, I made an error, it's on the intersection of College and Wrightsville. I always get College and Market mixed up. But seeing as how most Wilmingtonians spend way too much time stuck in traffic on Market and College, we get to know them a little too well.

You must be a local. I'm here from greensboro to check out UNCW. How do you like the area?

If you're not a transfer student, then you might actually like it. Apparently students straight out of high school love it, probably because they don't know any better. Myself and every transfer student hates it, probably because we do know better. There will be questions that you probably won't know to ask, but the registrar's office and your advisor will assume that you do and won't tell you about a number of critical things. As an example, if you're a transfer student and you haven't taken any math higher than Survey of Mathematics and you need something higher than that, you will have to take the math placement test. I got bit hard by that one.
In general, the school is pretentious as fuck and forgets that there's a W there at the end of UNC. It practically thinks its Ivy League, when in actuality it's a third-tier safety school. If you're here for the film school, don't bother. The program went to shit after Frank Capra Jr. passed away. Go to CFCC and go through their Film and Video Tech program instead. Their business school is ok, same goes for the nursing college and the teacher's college. They have a decent enough Marine Biology program and their Computer Science department is actually pretty good. The CS department has a good Digital Arts minor and there's a lot of good research going on in that department with image processing.
All bureaucracies are pains in the asses to deal with, but UNCW's has their heads up their asses much further than their third-tier safety school status would suggest.

I am still in high school. I am interested in business, and have been looking at a bunch of schools.

UNCW might be worth it if you really really like the beach. If you just merely really like the beach, then living in a tourist town will get old quick.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to head to the mountains next week to check out App and Asheville. I do like the beach, but then again I also like colder weather. Hopefully I can figure out which schools I want to apply to by November.

Better driving roads around Asheville, anyway.
